At Assos Dove Hotel Resort & SPA, on our journey to reduce tourism's impact on our environment, we take responsibility for waste management, natural resource use, employee health, safety and equal rights, and we respect human rights. We believe that integrating with our local community and taking part in solving social issues contributes to sustainability in tourism.
Supporting the local community: We regard our region and local community as our environment. We support local employment and provide our staff with on-the-job and tourism/hospitality-related training. We grant local businesses access to our facility and guests, and we encourage our guests to shop from local people.
Protecting cultural heritage: We support culture and heritage through donations to relevant organizations, and we aim to create a dedicated cultural corner within our facility.
Energy and water management: We identify our energy sources, evaluate past and current consumption, and record opportunities to improve energy efficiency. Recognizing that access to safe drinking and utility water is a fundamental human right, we take care with water management and conservation.
Waste management: We separate our solid waste at the source, recycle waste paper, glass, plastic and batteries through licensed organizations, and dispose of our wastewater under agreement with the municipality. We take care to use hazardous substances only when necessary and only in the required amount.
Sustainable procurement: We evaluate our suppliers and partners for their lack of harmful environmental impact, their responsible use of natural resources and ecosystems, and their internationally recognized environmental and sustainability certifications.
